The College & Career Exploration Center is a site within the Columbus Learning Center established to help individuals across south central Indiana develop informed and attainable plans for success in higher education and careers. The Exploration Center is a one-stop clearinghouse providing learners with accessible information and advisement about colleges and careers.

What is available at the College & Career Exploration Center?

The Exploration Center is a one-stop focal point or clearinghouse that provides area individuals, students, and families with accessible, up-to-date information about careers and college. The Center has books, videos, web sites, DVDs and other sources of information individuals need to research colleges, apprenticeship and certification programs, and careers.

The College & Career Exploration Center is available for anyone who wants information about colleges and careers.

Can I get advice and assistance at the College & Career Exploration Center?

The Exploration Center is staffed by professionals from the P-16 educational institutions. This feature gives individuals not just “the facts” of college and career options, but also the expertise of postsecondary career counseling and admissions personnel in one location.

What is the cost of using the College & Career Exploration Center?

Nearly all services at the Exploration Center are at no cost to the learner . Optional in-depth assessments may involve a small fee.

The Exploration Center is designed to help reduce barriers to higher education by providing a networked environment - one location linked to a variety of sources and expertise. Learners have the opportunity to meet with staff from postsecondary institutions. Individuals have access to workshops and learning modules specifically designed to help bridge social and educational gaps.
