Coalition is a partnership of education, business, and community
stakeholders focused on aligning and integrating our community learning
system, economic development, and quality of life.

- Community Education Coalition was formed in 1997 in response to Hudson
Institute survey findings including need to:
- Enhance Quality of the Workforce
- Improve K-12 school systems
- Enhance breadth of post-secondary offerings (address related facility
needs)
- Create closer working relationships between education and employers

- A Community-driven initiative to:
- Meet the workforce development needs of Columbus-area employers
- Improve, integrate and make more efficient the offerings of educational
institutions
- Significantly expand degree offerings
- Greatly improve level of articulation (transfer of credit agreements)

learners throughout south central Indiana
